“ My fiance and I got takeout today for the first time and we got a mix of specialty rolls and basic rolls and gyoza app. Every piece of fish is the freshest tasting I’ve had! The salmon and tuna were quality. I have to also add the staff is so sweet they originally said we were out of range for delivery and were going to send someone out just for us it was so sweet, we ended up picking it up and the atmosphere is so cute. Definitely went to the top of my list!! ”

The menu has standard Japanese/sushi fare you'd expect, but also some amazing & unique specials. The service was friendly, prompt, thoughtful & attentive (even tho they were quite busy) - the staff here are really working their as**s off. The restaurant decor is very tasteful & updated, with booths, tables & sushi bar seating. They also have a traditional horigotatsu room (shoes off, floor seating) which is where we sat - nice for groups or special occasions. Sushi Ukai is SO conveniently located adjacent to the parking garage - literally steps away, just park & walk in the restaurant's rear entrance. We'll definitely be back! “ This is my favorite restaurant of all time! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. I am a regular, and they always recognize me and have even have gotten to know my order at this point. Their sushi is the most delicious and freshest in the chicago land area. All of the fish is excellent quality. They also have very cute “Tea Rooms” where you can eat in with a group of people. ”
